The door opened and I called her name.

18 years old and she knew exactly what she needed.

We talked for 20 minutes, when we only needed 5.

During her procedure, she squeezed my hand so hard that I couldn’t feel it.

But that didn’t matter.

I was proud of her for getting through it.
